Mission

Chinaissance Limited is an interdisciplinary arts and cultural production company founded by Ya Gao. We preserve, revitalise, and reimagine Chinese cultural heritage through contemporary performance, exhibitions, research, artist development, and community engagement.

Our work bridges Chinese and British cultural perspectives, making heritage accessible to contemporary audiences while remaining rooted in its cultural context and embodied traditions. Through artistic experimentation and international collaboration, we celebrate Chinese intangible cultural heritage, support Chinese diaspora communities in reconnecting with their ancestral culture, and create meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange.
